ePMA solution supports Trust’s vision to improve patient safety, efficient expenditure and increase integrated workflow.
Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) is now live with Civica Prescribing software; electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA). NHFT provides a comprehensive range of physical, mental health and specialist services.
Now live and using Civica’s ePMA solution with integration of information from the Trust’s EPR, the full rollout programme will include 16 mental health inpatient wards, two palliative care hospices and five community hospital wards. The implementation of Civica Prescribing marks a milestone in the Trust’s digital journey.
Clinicians at NHFT will benefit from Civica Prescribing’s available safety protocols to reduce prescribing and administration errors which could result in medication errors and adverse drug events. Supporting the latest levels of safety compliance, the solution is also CE1 registered under the Medical Device Directive, offering greater assurance that its deployment and use will support clinicians to provide safer patient care, and ensure the right person and the right medication is easily identified.
